You might have often noticed that neglected parts of your home get covered by dust. But be careful about it. It might not be just dust. It may be a mixture of potentially allergenic materials.
The dust may often contain
- Dust mites
- Mold Spores
- Pollens
- Animal Feces
- Food particles
- Fibers
- Flakes animal and human skin
Symptoms
- Rash or Hives
- Itchy watery eyes
- Congestion
- Anaphylaxis
Prevention
- Keep your home clean. Wipe the dusty areas of your home using a damp cloth. Wear gloves and dust mask to prevent yourself from it.
- Reduce the kind of furniture and accessories that collect more dust than others. Such as dried flowers, stuffed animals etc.
- Wash your drapes and curtains regularly.
- Try to get leather sofas instead of fabric ones. You can just wipe them clean and they wont accumulate dust.
