There are few people who are allergic to every season. During spring season they are allergic to flower pollens, in summers- grass pollens and during fall- weed pollens. The net result of such allergies is itchy, stinging, burning red eyes.
Tips to protect your eyes from the seasonal allergies:
Seasonal allergies are mainly caused due to the pollens released in the environment so it is difficult to avoid them. But here are few tips which will be beneficial in decreasing the allergic symptoms.
- Regularly check the pollen counts. You can easily get this information on internet sites or on any local weather channel. Restrict your outdoor visits during high pollen counts.
- Ask somebody to help you in trimming your garden grass. Don’t do it yourself.
- Restrict your visits to dense wooden regions.
- During warmer season close your windows and doors. It’s better if you use an air-conditioner. But if the pollen counts are extremely high then using air-conditioner is not advisable.
- You can go for High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters. This filtering system is highly effective in filtering allergens from the air of your room.
These are just simple preventive measures for the seasonal allergies. These steps would be helpful for you to control your seasonal allergies breakouts. In case of allergy breakouts you should consult your doctor for proper medications. Especially in cases of eye allergies you should go to the doctor for correct eye allergy evaluation.
