A person develops an allergic reaction when the immune system mistakenly identifies harmless substances and reacts against it. This results in allergic reaction such as hives, itchiness, teary eyes, nasal congestion etc. In the case of allergic asthma, the same allergen also causes inflammation of lower airways and results in asthma.

Treatment For Allergy Induced Asthma:
Certain allergy treatments can reduce allergy induced asthma. One such treatment in allergy shots or immunotherapy in which small amounts of allergen is administered gradually until the person overcomes the allergy.

If a doctor suspects allergic asthma, he/she  may conduct allergy tests. The allergy tests determine the allergy-causing substances and avoiding these can help in prevent allergy and asthma reactions.
