Being diagnosed with food allergies is the most disheartening news for the patients. However, these health conditions may be controlled by avoiding the foods which trigger allergy. Yeast allergy is a health condition where a person is sensitive to the foods containing mold, yeast or other fungi. In such a case, identify yeast allergy foods to avoid initially.

Mushrooms:

You must avoid these. Mushrooms are fruiting fungus bodies and cause yeast allergy symptoms in hypersensitive patients. Hence, mushroom of any type is not advised if you are allergic to yeast.

Bakery Products:

Most baked products such as (bagels, crackers, muffins, bread) are prepared from yeast containing ingredients. Thus, limit these baked foods to prevent yeast allergy symptoms.

Alcoholic Beverages:

All alcoholic beverages prepared by fermenting with yeast must be eliminated. People who are hypersensitive to yeast may develop symptoms after having beer or wine.

Vinegar:

Like alcoholic beverages and wine, vinegar is also a fermentation product. Any vinegar type is prepared only after fermenting the base ingredients by using yeast. Avoid vinegar in dressing salads, cooking and in preparing barbecue sauce.

Dried Fruits:

Dried fruits must also be avoided in yeast free diet. It is observed that yeast has the tendency to feed in concentrated sugar of the fruits. Nevertheless, you may seek nutrition expert’s advise about which dried fruits can be included in the diet.

Dairy Products:

Yeast prefers to thrive on lactose. Thus, there is more possibility that dairy products consist of yeast stains. Consult the doctor about the yeast free foods and plan your diet.

Canned Fruits Juices:

Limit canned fruit juices in yeast allergy diet because they contain yeast traces. These preserved foods contain concentrated sugars that contaminated with the yeast.

Processed Foods:

All processed foods, food additives and food coloring contain yeast in little amounts. For instance, they may get contaminated in the process of drying. Hence, it is good to limit them as much as possible.
