Grass Allergy Symptoms:
An allergy develops when our immune system becomes oversensitive and contact with any allergen may cause outbreak of many conditions, which are referred to as symptoms of that particular allergic reaction. Signs of grass allergy resemble the symptoms of asthma or hay fever. If you are exposed to grass, you may observe the following symptoms:
Outbreak of rashes which include bumps, hives and swelling over the body. This results in redness and itching which is another symptom of grass allergy.
A dry cough is another prominent symptom of the grass allergy, which in turn causes an itchy throat which results in a lot of irritation.
Because of these reactions, one may experience fatigue, together with fever and headaches and general tiredness where you cannot cope with the strength required by your body for performing the basic activities also.
Difficulty in breathing:
Sneezing, wheezing, congested nose or a runny nose may also occur which contributes to breathing problems as one of the symptoms of grass allergy.
Itchy, red and watery eyes:
If you are allergic to grass, you may likely develop conjunctivitis. This causes the eyes to swell and also become itchy.
Causes of Grass Allergy:
Symptoms of grass allergy are caused mainly by the pollen present in grass. This is very common during summer and spring months. You cannot see pollen with naked eyes and can easily inhale without realizing. Sometimes, even physical contact with grass may also trigger signs of grass allergy. As discussed earlier, if your immune system is extremely sensitive, it reacts to presence of foreign substance which is considered harmful to the body and result in grass allergy symptoms.
